JOB DESCRIPTION

The Security Specialist focusing on F5 technologies is a professional to manage and secures applications and networks using F5’s advanced solutions. He/She handle the deployment and configuration of F5’s security products, like the BIG-IP platform, to protect against threats and ensure optimal performance. He/she need to be skilled in implementing traffic management, load balancing, and security features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage F5 BIG-IP load balancing solutions for optimal performance and availability.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to integrate F5 technologies into the overall network architecture.
• Configure and troubleshoot F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager) and GTM (Global Traffic Manager) to ensure efficient traffic distribution and failover.
• Work closely with application teams to understand their requirements and provide F5 solutions accordingly.
• Monitor and analyze network performance, making recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
• Participate in the planning and execution of network upgrades and migrations involving F5 technologies.
• Implement, maintain security policies and configurations with F5 environment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for F5-related issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to F5 technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

Experience

• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience – proven experience as an F5 Network Engineer or similar role.

Skills and Certifications

• In-depth knowledge of F5 BIG-IP platforms and technologies.
• Have good knowledge on F5 Distributed Cloud Services.
• Have experience to handle customer PoC environment.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
• Relevant certifications such as F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA) or F5 Certified Technology Specialist (F5-CTS) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Additional information

• Knowledge of F5 SSLO and F5 Distributed Cloud Knowledge is preferred.
