JOB DESCRIPTION
The position of a Cyber Security Consultant focused on government RFP development with a multifaceted role encompassing several key responsibilities. He/She engage with government clients to understand their specific security needs and regulatory requirements, designing customized solutions to address potential vulnerabilities, and conducting technical demonstrations to validate proposed strategies. The role also involves crafting compelling proposal narratives, performing market analysis to ensure competitive positioning, and fostering collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the proposal aligns with client objectives and industry standards. This position demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills.
Key responsibilities
- RFP development and response: Assist in the development of comprehensive RFPs, including the formulation of cyber security requirements and evaluation criteria. Respond to RFPs with tailored cyber security solutions that meet government standards. Lead and manage the response process for government cyber security RFPs.
- Client engagement: Engage with government stakeholders to understand their cyber security needs, conduct presentations, and provide technical clarifications during the RFP process.
- Solution design: Develop customized cyber security solutions that address specific requirements outlined in government RFPs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Engage with government clients to gather requirements and present tailored cyber security solutions.
- Technical demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept (PoC) activities to showcase the proposed cyber security solutions to government clients. Provide technical expertise and support during pre-sales activities, including presentations and demonstrations.
- Proposal writing: Create detailed technical proposals, including solution architecture, implementation plans, and cost estimates. Prepare comprehensive technical proposals and documentation.
- Market analysis: Stay updated on government cyber security policies, emerging threats, and industry trends to ensure the proposed solutions are current and competitive.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, technical teams, and external partners to align the proposed solutions with the overall strategic goals and capabilities of the organization. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the proposed solutions are feasible.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES
Education
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, Computer Application, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Experience
- An experience of 5 to 7 years (Level I) and 8 to 10 years (Level II) above in the similar role.
- Proven experience in RFP submissions, Cyber Security, with a strong understanding to articulate effective cyber security strategies and solutions tailored for government clients.
Skills and Certifications
- Cyber security, application security, and information security skills

- Strong knowledge of industry best practices and standards

COMPENSATION
The gross compensation budgeted for the position is ranging from INR 12 to 15 lakhs per annum (LPA) for Level I AND INR 15 to 20 lakhs per annum (LPA) for Level II and negotiable further to commensurate with skills, qualifications, certifications, trainings, experience and salary history.
